I’m the first to admit that in the fall I really embrace rich shades of color, particularly oxblood, plums and loads of black. This year however I also really love some pops of color. Inspired by some of the unusual trends seen on the Runways, like pastel pink jackets, I’m embracing my inner color-lover. Unexpected shades offer a fun way to brighten even everyday colors, making the simplest of outfits feel special. Which I’m convinced is one of the keys to life!
The uber bright tomato-red of this J. Crew popover pea coat paired with the less popular member of the “neutrals” family, gray, made for a contrast that I really loved. Gray is becoming my new favorite neutral, beating out black and navy.
I am absolutely smitten with these metallic heels. Not only were they inexpensive, but the slight purple-y (pretty sure that isn’t a word) tinge to them makes them really different and fun. I’ve been wearing them with everything.
I adore gray nails. This is Revlon’s “Graceful” with a sparkle topcoat. They are a chic neutral color that softly contrasts with any other hue. I layered on some rose gold color rings to keep in line with the warmth of the red jacket.
